* The first of the 2 family documents that may be in conflict is: "Stammbaum der familie FINGERLIN in ULM" (Family tree of the Fingerlin family in Ulm) a chart compiled by city minister Jacob Rieber after a manuscript at the Ulmer municipal library in Ulm Germany. A scan of it was forwarded to me by cousin Paolo De Gasperis in Rome Italy. The above entries in black bold type following the conflicted points, are from this document. The second, hand-painted family document, a family tree that spans 5 generations (from August Heinrich Freiherr von Fingerlin-Büsching to each of his great, great grandparents) exists in an issue of at least 2; one brought to the USA by Edgar Maximilian von Fingerlin-Büsching and held by his great, great grandson Richard Cleveland of Georgia; the other, held in the state archives of Vienna, Austria. The above entries in red bold type following the conflicted points, are from this document. jmc, 7 March 2001 |
