that: perceived pseudo-counterculturalist (Jane Cleveland) consorting
with Big Oil (Dennis Arnett) and Big Finance (Steve Ward). I
think Steve and I both attended Humboldt State (I'm pretty sure
I did) but didn't cross paths. Back in the 90's I used
to cross Dennis's path on Mission Street in San Francisco and
we'd chit-chat while Dennis waited for his private express bus
to Napa (an environmentally correct ride AND commuters were served
cocktails and hors-d'oeuvres on Fridays!). Then Standard Oil
sent Dennis to Contra Costa County and spiraling rents (from
$4k to $20k/mo) sent me and my employer (Computers & Music)
out to the Richmond District. |
