surrounded by Lincoln Park , which sits on a bluff above the
Pacific Ocean, is the California Palace of the Legion of Honor,
modeled after the Paris Legion of Honor by George A Applegarth
in 1916. The structure houses a fine arts museum, with a notable
permanent collection of Rodin sculpture, 16th to 18th Century
European painting, and graphic arts from the Achenbach Foundation
for Graphic Arts. To go to the official site for the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, click here . © 1999 Jane Marie Cleveland |
